- We had l3 kids today and it was a very fun
day. Michael, Doll, Gloria, Linda and Mary were enjoying it too,
Deborah set out the crafts for us before going to her job at the library.
Cody helped us quite a bit today also.
The kids loved the air hockey and played it almost non stop. A few
younger kids had fun in the nursery with the big bucket of legos which
Virginia furnished for our kids about 5 years ago.
Makiah read a chapter out of The Cricket in Times Square and she adds so
much to reading, we are all very proud of her.
Michael had wonderful bingo prizes, pens, cuddly toys, magic tricks etc.
Doll had a bubble gum blowing contest and did a pantomime of blowing a
bubble and losing the wad of gum and stepping on it, then we had a child act
that out too. Luckily, no one lost their gum and many learned how to
blow bubbles for the first time, Elijah is really learning how but Sierra
blew the largest one.
Then Gloria taught them a dance and all the kids danced but the two younger
boys. It was a great dance and they loved it, it looked difficult to
me but they all learned it, some had learned it at school.
Linda kept the food snacks ready and out for the kids and Mary always enjoys
interacting with each child and talking to all of them. We had 3
computers going and the same old games we have had for 2 years offered new
challenges, the lightning bug one, sponge bob racing and spider solitaire.
The day flew by and our youngest little boy, said this was really a fun day.
Next week we will be decorating valentines etc. Stop and see how much
fun we do have and how precious these kids are to all of us.
