Dear Church Leaders:

West Coast Presbyterians now have a fast, reliable connection to support effective, local mission projects with their time and money at the Synod of the Pacificıs new web site, Pacific Mission Exchange (www.pacificmissionexchange.org).  We need your help getting the word out to your congregation about this exciting new opportunity.   We need your help as soon as possible because now is the time when people are making decisions about projects they want to support before the year ends.

The Synod of the Pacific developed the Pacific Mission Exchange specifically to support the wide range of Presbyterian related mission projects now taking place from Oregon to Nevada, from California to Idaho.  For example, Trinity Presbyterian Church in West Sacramento, California provides 120 families that have a hard time making ends meet with boxes of food. Itıs a small project but for those 120 families, it makes a huge difference. Because of PMX, someone in your congregation can visit the Pacific Mission Exchange web page, learn about the need for food, and then make an immediate donation through a secure, quick and easy-to-navigate donation process. No fees are taken from the donation.  Thereıs 38 different, dynamic projects on
the website and more are being posted all the time.

Rev. Bruce Reyes-Chow, Moderator of the 218th PC(USA) General Assembly, knows from first hand experience how the internet is changing the ways we worship, work, and connect with each other, especially among the rising generation of Presbyterian leaders.  ³So many people today are looking for that place where our yearnings to change the world converge with the connectivity that technology provides,² Reyes-Chow said.   ³PMX is a great space for individuals and congregations to connect with one another in new ways to do new things all grounded in our historic understanding that we best do the work TOGETHER."

If your congregation has a mission project that could use Synod-wide support then we hope you will contact us so we can include it on PMX.  Then, let your congregation know about PMX so they can not only support the work of your congregation, they can also tell their friends and family members where to go to find solid, on-the-ground opportunities to make a difference in the world.

We need your help. We need your help getting the word out on this extraordinary opportunity to share the Good News of the Gospel made real by the hands and donations of Presbyterians who are your neighbors. Please
consider visiting the PMX web page, downloading suggested promotional material for use in your order of worship announcements, newsletters, minutes for mission, and e-mail distribution to members.  Please consider
putting a link to the PMX website (www.pacificmissionexchange.org) on your congregationıs website. The website shows you how.  Please pray for each project and the lives that are changed by these grassroots mission projects. And please act soon while decisions are still being made.

Thank you for your consideration of our request.  If you need more information, please contact me with questions.

In gratitude for the gifts of this Holy season,

Kathy Trott
