What is Olivet Really Like?
by
Mary Bishop

Have you ever wondered why some churches are full on Sunday and some aren't?  Well, of course, we know people become ill, vacation, work etc. but I mean the overall atmosphere of a church.

I have the answer to that question.  We had family visit us over the weekend, our daughter Mickey (Boyd knows her as Michelle though) and our son in law Dennis and they came to church with us.

After we came home, I asked what they had thought about it.  Their very first impression was they felt at home and as if they had come home.  I had the same feeling years ago when we first came to church.

They loved the choir and the joyful noise very much.  They met everyone in our church and were so impressed by our loving, caring family.

They were also impressed by the quanity of young kids and teens and their willingness to help and learn about God.

Buck gave a great sermon and they were still talking about that in the afternoon.  They were most impressed and thankful because Buck offered prayers for their safe trip home.  Buck didn't know that the last time they had visited, they had a horrible wreck on the way home due to snow on Canyon Mt. with a narrow escape due to prayer.

They loved the fellowship hour for the fun conversations and getting better acquainted with lots of people.

If you live in our area, or even if you live in Roseburg or Grants Pass, Wolf Creek, Happy Valley (we have families from all of these areas) please join us.  If you feel sad, lonely, in need of companionship, need of prayer, need of humor, interested in beautiful music, in a powerful sermon each week,Buck, Larry or Candace H. is preaching, it will be fantastic, come and join us.  Our family is growing and we are so happy because of it, all of us are so very different, we bring many different things to our family.  We have a prayer chain and if you are just in the need of some strong prayer warriors please call Buck or Mary and you will be on our prayer chain.  We have had many miracles because of it.  "Come Abide with us."
