Board of Pensions is pleased to invite you to submit a
proposal for funding for a Clergy Colleague Group in our
presbytery. These groups are a wonderful opportunity to
strengthen your clergy community by helping pastors
establish and maintain strong peer relationships. For

Institute addresses Polity Questions, Feb. 17-18
- “Polity
Questions for the Local Congregation in Light of the New
Form of Government” will be led by Stated Clerk, Cathy
Quackenbush at the February 17-18 Lay Institute, beginning
Friday at noon and ending about 4 p.m. on Saturday. Lay

Campbell and Fred Holper to
keynote 2012 Leadership Fair, Feb. 25
- The
Rev. Drs. Cynthia Campbell and J. Frederick “Fred” Holper
are slated to give the keynote address, “Preaching What
you Practice,” at the Cascades Leadership Fair at First
Presbyterian, Portland, on Saturday, February 25, 8:30 a.m.
– 3 p.m. In addition to the keynote, they will each offer
workshops in the afternoon that will develop the theme. Register
by February 10.

scripture study or youth activities around the topic of

- Presbytery
camp opportunities for youth and youth groups are at Suttle
Lake Camp March 9-11. The Leadership
Retreat is for high school students and offers training
for staff positions in summer camps.

Retreat offers a program for churches to bring
confirmation classes for a retreat with other youth groups.

spring curriculum in Resource Center
- Spring
2012 Presbyterian curriculum is now in the Resource Center
and is available to be previewed. For adults - Being
Reformed: Faith Seeking Understanding series; for Youth -
Faith Questions mini-courses (four or six sessions), and for
Elementary and Preschool - We Believe. This is a well
thought out curriculum. I encourage you to check it out.
