THE WORD FOR TODAY

1 Chronicles 16:9 Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!
I recently thought about the topic of my conversations through a normal day. I can safely, and sadly I might add, say that only about 10 percent…it that…of my day outside of Sunday is spent in talking about the things God has done or is doing. In fact just thinking about yesterday I don’t think I had even 30 minutes of “God Talk” in my life. So that doesn’t even come close to two hours and forty minutes, which is ten percent of a 24 hour day.
David sang a song, “Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works. I think there are four ways that we can “TALK” of His wondrous works.
We can talk of HIS wondrous works through TRANSFORMED living. Transformed living is allowing HIM to live in us and through us as live our life. Transformed living is living a dynamic Christian life. A transformed life is a life dedicated to the honor and glory of Christ.
We can talk of HIS wondrous works through AVAILABLE mindset. An “available mindset” is living a life of availability to be used by HIM in ministry to others. Someone needs the touch of Christ in your life today.
We can talk of HIS wondrous works through LIVING a holy life. The Bible tells us to living our life holy to the Lord. 1 Peter 1:15 says, “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.” This isn’t a choice for believers it is absolutely essential to our witness of HIS life living in us.
We can talk of HIS wondrous works through KEEPING His Word. The Psalmist said, “Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against God.” His living and active Word in us will cause us to tell of HIS wondrous works. We can’t read the Bible and keep silent about God.
Chris Tomlin has a great song, “How Can I Keep From Singing Your Praise” that inspires any who hear it to tell of God’s wondrous works in our life. Because of HIS great love we can’t be silent the things HE is doing in our life.
Lord, YOUR works are wonderful and marvelous…may we never be silent about all that HE does…in Jesus Name…AMEN!!!
