Jeremiah 22-24 (Click to read Today’s Word) Truth for Today
Jeremiah 23: “Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see Him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.”
Rumor has it that the government has satellites that are able to track things as small as cars anywhere in the world. That has led some to believe that they can even watch our house and monitor everything we do. It adds a whole new meaning to the phrase, “Big brother is watching.”
Someone is watching you and me right now. No it isn’t the National Security Agency or the folks at FBI...it is God. He asked a rhetorical question through Jeremiah, “Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see him?” The answer! No way can anyone hide from God.
We have certainly tried our best to hide. Yet He sees and knows the way we have trod. His eyes run to and fro upon earth. He searches our hearts and instantly sees what we think and feel and intend. Nothing is hidden from Him...NOTHING!
Folks it’s time for believers to embrace that simple truth, “Nothing is hidden from eyes of our Lord.” Because of that we should stop playing the meaningless cat and mouse games with God and begin to live the life of believers. Amy Grant sings a challenging song that has these words, “I’m gonna live like a believer, turn my back on the deceiver, gonna live what I believe.”
If I believe He is Lord then I need to live a life that reflects that HE IS LORD!!!
Father, in a world where it is easy to be deceived grant me...grant us wisdom and strength to live what we believe. Should what we believe be incorrect teach me rightly and protect me by your powerful right hand...In Jesus Name...AMEN!
