THE WORD FOR TODAY
BibleGateway.com - Passage Lookup: Exodus 10-12
So Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him, “Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews, ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.’”
One definition of stubbornness is, “A tenacious unwillingness to yield.”
That definition fits Pharaoh perfectly. Even after seven plagues he stubbornly refused to free God’s people. The Lord asked him, “How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me?”
Wasn’t that really the problem? Pharaoh refused to humble himself before God. That is the where the sin of man becomes great…we refuse to submit to His will for holiness in our life. We refuse to give Him the honor due His name. We stubbornly walk our own way rather than His way for us.
How long will we refuse to humble ourselves before Him?
By the way…we don’t have very long to submit to Him…He calls this moment…our submission to Him should be NOW!!!
Father, forgive our stubbornness…In Jesus Name…AMEN!!!
