THE WORD FOR TODAY
BibleGateway.com - Passage Lookup: Exodus 13-15
24 Now it came to pass, in the morning watch, that the LORD looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He troubled the army of the Egyptians.
You may have heart the story of a thief that broke into a house. As he shined his light around the room he froze in his tracks as he heard, “Jesus is watching you.” He kept hearing this statement and finally his light fell on a parrot’s cage. Relaxing he asked parrot, “Who are you?” The parrot responded, “Moses.” The thief laughed and asked, “Who in the world would name a parrot Moses?” The parrot replied, “The same folks who named a Rottweiler Jesus.”
Evil believes it can win…just read Exodus 14 as Israel is pursued by the Egyptians. But in the midst of their pursuit God was watching. Their evil was evident to God as HE looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud…” But don’t miss, “And He troubled the army of the Egyptians.”
Nothing we experience on this earth is hidden from God. Those forces of evil are very evident to the Father. If He could trouble the army of the Egyptians, He can trouble the power of evil on this earth.
If you are HIS child…take heart in His great mercy, grace and abundant power over anything that may attack and rob you of joy and vitality. Greater is HE that in us that he that in the world.
Lord, You are our protector…or powerful source of grace and hope…You give us the victory and we rest in ALL that You provide…In Jesus Name...AMEN!!!
