Psalm 145:8 8 The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.
The recent ruling by the California Federal Judge overturning Proposition 8 in California begs the question, “How long O Lord will YOU allow evil to continue?” The recent shooting in Connecticut is makes me ask, “How long will You tarry Lord?” The rebellion in my own life makes me wonder just how much God can tolerate.
Psalm 145: 8 says, “The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.”
I am glad God is slow to anger and great in mercy.
I am glad for His forbearance and mercy on a personal level. It is only because HE is merciful that I even have life.
I am glad for HIS forbearance on community level. For everyday that God holds back His anger and pours out HIS mercy is another day where we have opportunity to share hope with a world that needs REAL HOPE.
I am glad for HIS forbearance and mercy on a national level. God’s mercy and forgiveness is America’s only hope.
I am glad for HIS mercy on a global scale. The WORLD needs the message of hope that is in every believer. Through a massive global strategy churches are doing more in mission work than every before. God’s forbearance and mercy make that work possible.
The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy…AMEN AND AMEN!
Father, thank YOU for YOUR love, mercy and Your good grace…In Jesus Name…AMEN!!!
