Truth for Today
1 Peter 4:7 7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
Is the end of all things at hand? Are we in the last days? Is our time on this earth racing to an end?
Peter believed so. He wrote, “But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.” Peter, inspired by the Holy Spirit challenges believers that the end of all things was near. But how can this be? Hundreds of years have passed since the inspiration of these great words.
It is really very simple. The Bible teaches that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years. The Bible also teaches that our life is vapor…here now gone tomorrow. What we know today doesn’t stay for long. To prove that, just consider life 30 years ago. Consider everything from the cost of a loaf of bread to the price of gasoline. Is it different? Absolutely! Things don’t stay the same. They change at an incredibly rapid pace.
I believe God. I believe His message through Peter. I believe the end of all things is near. I believe His challenge to us is to be serious and watchful in our prayers.
It’s time to show up at prayer meetings. Not just show up but participate like you never have before.
It’s time to enter your prayer closet in an intense and persistent manner.
It’s time for the body of Christ to unite in prayer like no other time in history.
The urgency of these last days is real…souls are in danger…what are we doing. We must be serious and vigilant in our prayers. Let’s answer God’s call to a deeper more serious prayer life because these days are so short.
Will you join me in serious prayer? If so just send me an email response and show your commitment to God for intense serious prayer. You can just say, “Brother William, I commit to partnering with you in serious prayer as we worship, work, witness and walk in these last days.”
Father, we need Your help in these last days…we can’t live them without You. Oh how we are desperate for YOU…In Jesus Name…AMEN!!!
