Psalm 148-150 (Click to read Today’s Word)
Psalm 150:1-6 1 Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
Psalm 150 closes out the Psalms with a call to “Praise the LORD”. It should be the most natural thing in the world to PRAISE GOD. Praise ought to simply flow from a transformed heart.
Now it’s one thing to talk about praising the Lord. It’s another to actually Praise Him. Let me share with you some MOTIVATION for our PRAISE of Him.
He is the Propitiation for our sins. Hebrews 2:17 He took the sins of all who trust Him as Lord and Savior.
He is the Redeemer for lost humanity. Ephesians 1:7, “In HIM (Christ) we have redemption the forgiveness of sins…” To redeem is to buy back. We have been pawned over to sin but Christ has redeemed us. The price has been paid.
He is the Almighty God. Jesus said in John 8:58, “Before Abraham was I AM…” When we praise Jesus we praise the Almighty God.
He is the Indwelling presence of God. Jesus, “I am with always even to the ends of the age.” Matthew 28:20 He is will us always…PRAISE THE LORD.
He is the Savior of my life. He came to seek and to save that which is lost. Luke 19:10
He is the Eternal Lord. Philippians 2:8-10 tells that every knee shall bow to the eternal LORD Jesus Christ.
Let everyone who reads these words, PRAISE THE LORD!!!
Father, I praise You for You are good and Your mercy endures forever…In Jesus Name…AMEN!!!
