Word of the DayTHE WORD FOR TODAY
Nehemiah 4-6 Nehemiah 3-5 (Click to read Today’s Word) Nehemiah 4:10 10 Then Judah said, “The strength of the laborers is failing, and there is so much rubbish that we are not able to build the wall.” The aftermath of Hurricane Ivan was something I will never forget. I remember seeing our yard for the first time in daylight. Tree tops and limbs covered the yard more than 6 feet high. Before I ever pulled a limb I was thinking, “We will never get this cleaned up!” The people of God were rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem and it was taking shape as they worked as hard as they could. Scripture declares that they were successful because they had a mind to work. But then the sheer task of the work took its toll, “The strength of the laborers is failing, and there is so much rubbish that we are not able to build the wall.” When the rubbish is piled high we need God’s help. When the work is taking its toll and we just don’t know if we can keep on…turn to the Father. He is able to see the order in the rubbish. I remember well when we finished piling all of the limbs it was a sight to see. I couldn’t help but think back to my first thought that early summer morning. It was just two days later and all the limbs were gone. I knew who had helped us…GOD! By the way…we cleaned limbs like that twice that year!!! TRUTH: God is really good at helping take care of rubbish!!! Father, someone is suffering because of the RUBBISH that has invaded their life. It may be more than a pile of tree limbs Lord. They need YOUR help…we need YOUR help…come to us and help us…In Jesus Name…AMEN!!! Blessings Brother William Comments are closed.
